Background

Tiffany purchased her first pair of chinchillas shortly after graduating high school. She began breeding chinchillas as a hobby and to just own them as pets.  After attending her first chinchilla show in 2008, she revamped her breeding herd as she realized her breeding pairs weren't considered breeding quality. Thanks to the wonderful ranchers that were still in the business at the time, she was able to start over with a top quality show herd. Our chinchillas have bloodlines from top breeders and ranchers including La Paloma, Ritterspach, Ryerson and Shoots to name a few.

In 2020, Tiffany's Chinchillas brand name was changed to Carolina Chinchilla Ranch. I breed for standard gray, black velvet, mosaics, ebony, and beige. I occasionally have violet, sapphire and blue diamond recessive mutations. One line of angoras as well. Mutations are all bred back to top quality standards in order to increase quality in the offspring.  I DO NOT breed for curly, champagne or black pearl mutations. I do not sell to pet stores or support them in any way. Occasionally, I take in surrenders to help find homes, but all animals in breeding here are fully pedigreed.

My focus in breeding is to produce top quality, healthy and friendly chinchillas for you to enjoy as part of your family - whether they're pets, or to possibly start up your own herd. I devote our time and heart into each individual animal born at my home. Chinchillas have become a passion in both of our lives. Thank you for visiting my web page and hope that you enjoy the site. Come back often for updates and specials. Education is the key - there is a large difference in a pet quality chinchilla and breeding quality chinchillas. Find a mentor who actually knows what they're doing and ask many questions and you'll go far. Start out on the right foot and educate yourself properly.
